A Love Story 13 Years in the Making | Austin & Christianne’s New Orleans Wedding Weekend

Some love stories are written in the stars. Others begin in classrooms and quiet conversations. Austin and Christianne’s journey began in July 2011 at the University of Pennsylvania, where they met as students in a pre-freshman summer program. That first spark quickly grew into something extraordinary.

By Christmas break that same year, fate intervened again. Christianne, visiting Orlando with her parents while the New Jersey Nets (then coached by Avery Johnson Sr.) played the Orlando Magic, reached out to Austin through Facebook. He accepted the invitation, met her parents, and passed the “interrogation” with flying colors. That night, he took Christianne on their first official date — sushi and a stroll through Disney Springs. The following day, they cheered on the Nets together, unknowingly setting the stage for the years to come.

Back on campus, their friendship blossomed. From campus events to Philly dinners, their connection deepened, leading to March 1, 2012 — the day Austin asked Christianne to be his girlfriend. Fast forward over a decade, through coast-to-coast moves, Ivy League degrees, Wall Street hustle, and globetrotting adventures, Austin proposed to Christianne on their 10-year anniversary in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. And on April 13, 2025, they said “I do” in a celebration as vibrant and dynamic as their love.

A Three-Day Celebration in the Heart of New Orleans

Austin and Christianne didn’t just plan a wedding — they created an experience.

Thursday, April 11th
The festivities kicked off with a welcome party at the New Orleans Saints practice facility. Friends and family flew in from all over the country and were greeted with delicious local cuisine, good music, and football-themed fun. It was the perfect icebreaker — casual, full of laughter, and unmistakably them.

Friday, April 12th
In true New Orleans fashion, the couple hosted a private parade through the city streets, complete with ornate floats and the iconic St. Augustine Marching Band. It was a show-stopping moment that turned heads and made memories for a lifetime. The energy didn’t stop there — that evening, they hosted a Hawaiian-themed party where guests toasted the couple, feasted on tropical fare, and danced the night away under string lights and palm leaves.

Saturday, April 13th — Wedding Day
The weekend culminated in a breathtaking ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel New Orleans. The backdrop of the Mississippi River, paired with the elegance of the venue and the warmth of their loved ones, created a moment that was as heartfelt as it was stunning. Surrounded by friends and family, Austin and Christianne sealed their union with a vow — a promise made long ago, now officially fulfilled.

A Journey of Love and Growth

Since their 2015 graduation from Penn — Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Wharton and Christianne with a Bachelor of Arts in East Asian Languages and Culture — the couple has carved out extraordinary paths. From analyst roles at Morgan Stanley and BlackRock, to MBA programs at UCLA Anderson and Northwestern Kellogg, they’ve grown together professionally and personally.

Now based in Los Angeles, Austin is a manager at Deloitte Consulting, and Christianne works as a consultant at Bain & Company. Their shared passion for travel, culture, and ambition continues to define their life together — and they’re only just getting started.
